Eyepiece shown is not the one supplied, but produces the maximum power before image breakup.
Wonderful mechanical design, the tube is even made of steel, can't say the same for optics.
Solid and smooth pointing motions.

The only reflector of the bunch, the celestron 130SLT with goto, red dot finder. Used for quick snaps (as alt-az mounts lead to field rotation, which rules out anything that requires a long exposure). A fairly fast scope used with a CCD that can take very short exposures can work well... 130mm aperture, 650mm focal length.
Syrtis Major Planum is the dark feature in the south. Two avis of 11000 frames stacked at 25% in AS!2, processed in Registax and Photoshop, and then combined in WinJUPOS. Imaged in my Seattle backyard with Neximage 5 camera in a Nexstar 6SE with 2x Barlow.
Mars was magnitude 1.57 and 4.7" in diameter.
I've been watching this Osprey Nest for some time. The problem is that it's so far away (1/4 to 3/8 of a mile). This photo was shot with a Nikon D7000 attached to a Celestron 90 SLT telescope.
The moon is about to emerge from the eclipse. As the moon emerged, the brightness increased dramatically and I had to decrease the exposure time. The contrast between the light and dark areas meant that I couldn't get as much detail in the covered area.
Setting up at Shawmut. Looking forward to the Sun going down and Omega Centauri popping over the southern horizon in a few hours.

Very first tests of the NexImage camera in telescope Celestron Astromaster 76.
We just changed the 10 mm eyepiece for the camera.

This was my first time ever to try photograph comet.
Tracking was not working after adjustments I made to mount. (One screw was loose). I got only a few shots after clouds filled the sky.

I picked this 1980-ish mirror lens up on flea-bay, so it warrants the obligatory test. The green window near the centre has a bar down the centre.I guess that this is about 3 inches across.... roughly 2.5 km away. I get that this translates to the resolution being better than 6 arcseconds - comparable with what the 40D can achieve at this focal length. Don't let the lights fool you - these are heavily blown out (and they're not point sources anyway.) On the whole, I think it's quite excellent!
My first picture of Saturn through my 6" Celestron telescope! I blew it up a fair bit though. After cropping it was only about 177 pixels wide.
