The landscape looks like the mid-western United States, or perhaps the steppes of Ukrainia. But this pastureland is found along a narrow 12 mile road to South Point, in Hawaii, the most southern point in the United States.
The windmills, called Pakini Nui, supply up to 20.5 MW of power to the island electricity grid of Hawaii Electric Light Company. Not surprising, it is the southernmost wind farm in the United States, and it is very windy.
On this late afternoon in October, one needed to go pretty high in order to escape the thick fog. But unfortunately I had to dive back into it eventually.
Seen from Schallenberg. Somewhere below would be lake Thun.
At a Madness concert, this daughter and mother obligingly posed for this capture, which I then emailed them
I know it's the middle of November and there are only 7 weeks until the end of the year, but that means I need to post a few more landscapes before December 31 to finish my 100 Landscapes project. Be prepared for an archive dump of landscape images. I've also been tossing around the idea of doing another 365 next year. Maybe, or maybe I'm just crazy, I don't know. 😵
Happy Friday and Thank You to all of our veterans, for their service and sacrifice.

Looks like not just me behind on my upload, it was surprised to found this double cherry tree also bloomed about ten days ago, later than most of the cherry blossoms.
♥ Thank you very much for your visits, faves, and kind comments ♥
* Its the first day of metrological winter today but this post takes us back into Autumn. Our Acer palmatum 'Sango-kaku' showed up well this autumn particularly when the late afternoon sun enhanced the colour of the leaves . This was taken on my Iphone
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT TO MY STREAM.
I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFUL IF YOU COULD NOT FAVE A PHOTO
WITHOUT ALSO LEAVING A COMMENT
It's always nice to observe social behaviour. And these days that almost invariably means catching people using their smart phones.
One of my photographs, “The Conversation of Art” from last year’s show, was used by the John Glover Society to promote this year’s event.

This is long overdue. It is time I stop letting people hold me back. This is my life and I won't be told what is right or wrong.
Make up your own damn mind people. Do not let society, politics, friends or family tell you how to think, who to support or how to behave or hold you back. The best you can do is be who you are and be proud of it and stand for what you feel is RIGHT!
If you have problems like I do, look yourself in the mirror and ask yourself what you can do to make your own life better than reach out and take that bull by the horns and show it who the boss is. You are your own boss.
I see the beauty in every mistake I've ever made because it has helped create the best version I can be. I thank my God for loving me like he does. I thank my God for the path I now lead. I thank my God for not judging me by my mistakes. I thank God for every breath.
Matt: 22 Verses 36 - 39
Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
The long exposure helped to show the light shining onto the water through the posts and adds a sense of tranquillity to the scene
A treasure found on my early morning constitutional.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR VIEWS, COMMENTS, FAVES AND INVITES! ALSO TREASURES IN MY LIFE! 🙏♥️
The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark. Michelangelo

When wine just isn't enough...
Thank you Mira for letting me use her as a gorgeous guinea pig while I am learning!
Creative edit of a Eucalyptus tree bark section, but through my eyes it is a mountain landscape catching moonlight.
Black-and-white Warblers such as this one make their living on tree trunks and branches, probing the bark for insects with their slightly downcurved bills. While this quick little bird had been moving about mostly in the shadows, it popped out momentarily into the sunlight for this late afternoon shot.
