I love the beauty of the ocean with all the birds it has to offer in such a lovely setting. As I walked the beach at Moss Landing this Long-billed Curlew seemed to be 'catching a wave' as it flew by.

Yesterday was another very hot day, but as I walked through the gardens, the day lilies all seemed to have their 'faces' looking at the sun.

First time I managed to see the start (or the end) of a rainbow. No pot of gold though! Wish I had my camera with me but had to do with the mobile again. I guess the best camera is the one with you.

Catching reflections is one of my favorite things i like to photograph. it is usually challenging to catch reflections against the bright city light. An effort was made to balance all of them here. well it almost Friday. have a great day my friends.

Not many lovely autumn leaves in the garden this year, most of them are already dry when they fall. Linus found one which still had some colour, though. I have posted far too many photos of Linus' face lately and thought that I should focus on the paw for a change. :)

catching up on backlog

650PS (Stirling Moss) vs 60PS (VW Up!) on the german motorway. The day in Stuttgart was just damn boring and so we decided to drive to Boeblingen... But yeah, it was boring too and as we drove away this brutal car showed up and I turned my car in the middle of the street to follow it. After a short stop my brother drove my car and we followed the Stirling Moss to the motorway. And yes, my brother was driving like hell so we overtook it ;) Thanks Xite1893, youre the best driver ever! And thanks to JoschAMV8 for the editing of this crappy shot xD

This is easy to do. It's just a photo of my hand. The clouds, birds and light rays are Photoshop "brushes". It did take many attempts to get the combination of cloud brushes look good. The lightning was added by using a Photoshop filter. ("Alien Skin Xenofex 2" filter. )

A week after we came back from Berlin, back when the trees were still green, the world felt like autumn anyway, and I had already settled in again. :)

throwback to saying goodbye

Using an old window curtain, three young boys work together to catch fingerlings along a village seashore in Subic, Zambales, Philippines.

And they do it just to have fun...now that they're having a ten-daylong semester break vacation, which starts today and will end on All Saints Day. The three boys, who live near the shore, are all studying at a local public grade school.
