Summer break has begun and we are catching up on missed moments. Naps are the perfect time to catch up
Today is the last day of winter, goodbye to the fires, last day of catching a fire in the fireplace, until next season. Today started off a couple degrees above freezing but it is all uphill on temp from here......166 days until September 😊
Song birds were singing as the soft morning sun filtered through the angel hair moss and backlit the shrubs along the Bottle Beach State Park Interpretive Trail in Ocosta, Washington.
Another one of my favourite places for Winter seascapes in Perth - North Cottesloe. The rocks are only visible for few months during the year and they present a lot of different composition opportunities. I have not much time to get out there too often this year, however, I did manage it once in early June and this is on of the moody long exposure that I captured.

The oval room in Teylers Museum Haarlem.
Teylers is the oldest museum in The Netherlands, open to the public since 1784.
I do not know why this guy looked so exasperated! He must have had a busy lunch hour ...
Quick candid at the top of the westgate centre Oxford.
I've wanted to do a composite for a while. Not quite sure this has cracked it but my daughter liked being her own fairy.
The View from my Bedroom Window, Aventura, FL
I saw this rainbow looking outside the bedroom window earlier this evening and though I take a quick shot. And in case you are wondering I haven't given up on shooting landscapes although with all the bird shots I have been posting lately one could think so. ;-)
But now as birding season is coming to an end for the summer I hope to get back into the swing of things.
I actually went for a little walk hoping to catch the rainbow with some more scenic foreground, but no such luck.
