Here I liked the way the low light was hitting the green mounds, and there was a pleasant, straightforward path cutting through it as trees caught some of the clouds wisping by.
The Knole House estates are a mix of walking areas and woodland, and there are some golf greens in between. Looking at the flatness and greenness of it, it seems pretty obvious why. (Well, it's probably the money too).

Anvilcloud and I hopped in the van made a rush to the old fire station to catch some of the light from this sunset unencumbered by hills and power lines. A photo he captured that evening may be seen here.

Couldn't sleep several nights ago and was up until the early hours. I went out on the deck and looked up at the soft lavender sky - it looked like the tree was trying to grab the moon! Wish I had had a bigger lens on the camera!
Every winter we are visited by a large seal colony on the rocks in front of the house. Today, they were enjoying some sunshine.

Until last week I had not been to Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge since May. When I saved a few photos to my Occoquan folder I noticed I hadn't posted many of my spring photos for whatever reason, so I'm catching up a bit.
A brief visit to Milton of Crathes on the Deeside Railway on 3/5/2014 with the engine being prepared for service.
It is a Barclay 0-6-0ST,built in 1942,numbered 2139.It worked on the Stewart Lloyds system and was acquired for preservation by the NYMR.It has since visited several other railways and is currently out of use pending overhaul

We looked for accommodation on the west side of Guadeloupe, for sunsets! The first night I was a bit disappointed when I saw some clouds on the horizon. Until they started breaking the light in this spectacular spectrum! I thought a local fisherman and his friend made for the perfect foreground.
