In early September 2016 a group of 8 us did our annual canoeing and camping trip in Ontario's Algonquin Park. This year we setup our campsite on Big Porcupine Lake found in the south end of the park. All of these images are from that lake.

Shore Acres State Park. Shore Acres is famous for its winter storm waves. Today the sun was out and the waves were moderate in size. The top of this cliff is 80 feet above the ocean. The biggest waves can throw spray 200 feet in the air.

The Big Wheel

Little Blue Heron with large tadpole.

We watched this heron at fairly close range as he caught one large tadpole after another. He was not at all disturbed by us. After his third one he took off across the pond to digest.
