My Ever After High Hunter Huntsman doll – one of my first non-Barbie brand dolls.
Okay, I'm not gonna lie. He's the only reason why I bought the gift set. I didn't care about Ashlynn, really (though she has quite grown to me, right now). But Hunter is, wow. Just, wow. I ADORE this doll. He's easily the BEST-looking male doll that has been released this year (strictly, my opinion though). Gosh, where do I start?
I love his face. He doesn't have a sour-looking face unlike the Ever After High girls. He genuinely looks happy. I love his facial bone structure. He's almost realistic-looking, but still has that cartoony/anime touch. His body sculpt is just AMAZING! It's not too disproportionate unlike the EAH girls and I like that he actually has big arm muscles. His articulation, however, is probably his best feature. His posing possibilities are endless! I can only DREAM that play line Ken dolls could move this way. He's really fun to play with and he's just a joy to photograph.
His outfit is really well-done. Kudos to everyone in the design team! I like the materials used (like the faux leather on his jacket). I love how they painted the accessories (the detailing on his bag and shoes just blew me away). I love how his outfit consists of so many bits and pieces that I can easily take out and put back in. I'm also glad he came with a free doll stand (but with his articulation, he can stand on his own bare feet just fine).
Overall he's just darling. One of the best purchases I've made this year, quite frankly. Judging by how Mattel made Hunter, I CANNOT WAIT for more male characters. Oh, please let there be a Daring and Dexter Charming giftset, please, Mattel, I beg of you!!!
Euphorbia, with a defensive resinous sap (latex) that can cause extremely painful inflamations to eyes, ears, or mouth. It won't be going in my salad and I
certainly won't roll it up to use as an ear plug! :-)

[...]Christine's own face reflected the surprise Jagger had. She bit side of her bottom lip to his words, she was nervous, almost as if she was asked to perform something as a final examination. There was only one way to know though, so her own attention fell back on the bird who seemed calmer now. She gently took her own hands off the bird, leaving it to Jagger's, then fondled the broken wing with care. She didn't want to hurt the bird further after all.[...]

First....Thanks to Torrie (trs125) for this little sachet pillow with the verse about Little Cares lost....her design and creativity...a very treasured gift from her to me!! The pillow says: "The little cares that fretted me, i lost them yesterday, among the fields above the sea, among the winds at play."
To go with this, a little quote and treasure i found, that says so much, for anyone struggling with life at the moment.
i hope you enjoy....and enjoy the weekend that has been deposited in your hot little hands....make the most of it, don’t let it down!
“I read and walked miles at night along the beach, writing blank verse and searching endlessly for someone
wonderful who would step out of the darkness and change my life. It never crossed my mind that that person
could be me.” Anna Quindlen
Don’t wait....the power is within you...............set your fretting to the wind.
if anyone is interested in trying the texture i used i will upload it to flickr later (hopefully....busy day!) and you are welcome to give it a try.....a shout back to me would be delightful so i can see what you do!! :)

Best part of staying with my parents besides them taking care of me: they live on the edge of a great park and there are plenty of sightlines that make you forget that you are in the middle of the city. Winter? Nothing growing? Who cares. I still like it.
This is with a lot of expired Velvia 100. Last year I bought a grab bag of old film from the family of a studio photographer who had retired. Lots of goodies here. I can just reach in and pull out some surprise roll and check it out.
This was taken with the converted Polaroid 600SE that takes 120 rollfilm.
WEEK 51 – Oxford Walmart, During the Remodel
Next to the auto care center, we find – as you might expect – the full auto care department. Once again, its pillow sign from the previous Impact décor package is still intact, but the formerly blue wall behind it has been repainted white. Also remaining, though, are the Impact-era blue gooseneck signs!

These places are public so these photos are too, but just as I tell where they came from, I'd appreciate if you'd say who :)
I wish I didn’t
There’s a lot of things I don’t care about: mail, crumbs in bed, laughing too loudly. But I can’t get myself to stop caring about bad hair days.
I wish I could say “frizzy hair, don’t care,” but I do care. While the recent rains are welcome, the humidity is doing a number on my ‘do. And it’s hard not to let it ruin my day.
