This is my favorite picture of a cache find. Beautiful hide at Lake Chelan, WA.

Can you see it? It's actually the gauge, which is a fake one attached with magnets.

Pattern is on my blog: chiescrochetandknitting.blogspot.com/2007/08/felted-cache...

Cariboo Sam welcomes visitors to Cache Creek at the junction of Hwy 1 and Hwy 97. This busy intersection directs travellers south, east or north to destinations all over British Columbia. Old meets new as gold prospector Sam stands alongside the Village's official 1950s transportation-themed neon-lined crest of a classic '57 Chevy.

This 1966 map of Oklahoma depicts US 62 as it appeared across Southwest Oklahoma from present-day Interstate 44 in Lawton west through Altus to the Texas border near Hollis. At that time, the route used the old US 62 alignment between Lawton and Altus that passed through several small towns over a narrow and winding two-lane route. As it existed in 1966, improved sections included at least four-lane alignments in urban sections including Cache Road through Lawton and Broadway through Altus. A recently improved two-lane section of the existing route with wider lanes and shoulders was in use from Headrick curve west to the east side of Altus - and would be similar in design with the new US 62 then under development from Lawton west to this point (see 1975 map for new US 62 path).

Also at that time, US 62 was still co-signed with State Highway 7 west of Lawton to the Texas border near Hollis. SH 7 was the original designation of the highway before US 62 was signed and designated in 1930. SH 7 departed from US 62 at the Cache Road/Sheridan Road intersection on the west side of Lawton and continued south 2 miles before turning east via Lee Boulevard across the south side of Lawton and then proceeded to Duncan and across southern Oklahoma to its end at the Arkansas border co-signed with US 70 east of Broken Bow.

The US 62 co-signing with SH 7 west of Lawton ended in 1971 when traffic moved to the "new" US 62 route toward Altus. At that time, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation placed the western terminus of SH 7 at the US 62 junction or Sheridan/Cache Road intersection in west Lawton, and SH 7's eastern terminus at the intersection of US 70 and SH 3-7 in Broken Bow, OK..

Students participate in snowshoe field trips each winter where they learn about the Salt Lake City protected watershed, their National Forest, and winter ecology. Each winter, approximately 2,000 students snowshoe. Tours are organized by the nonprofit Cottonwood Canyons Foundation and supported by volunteer guides, Salt Lake City, Utah Department of Natural Resources, and REI. REI provides snowshoes and funding for bus transportation. Salt Lake Ranger District, Big Cottonwood Canyon, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Photo by Carol Majeske, 03/13/2013. I don't know why the old lincheri.com is gone (Warning: In its place is an ad site with porn links), but here is a screen shot of the the last cache showing most of the lingerie links from February 9, 2008. Similar sites are www.bilkoscans.wanadoo.co.uk/ and lingerie-planet.com/a/directory?name=D .

Source: I found the cache for it at the Internet Archive WAYBACK MACHINE: www.archive.org/web/web.php > Search lincheri.com > choose cache date. Some but not all of the links work from there. Source of source: Yahoo Search.

Note: They are all retailer sites except for the Lincheri.com Carpediem.fr link which I don't recommend because it is a porn site with a red rating from McAfee Siteadvisor.

We had a interesting time getting off the rocks and getting on the snow as moats were starting to form in the lower portion of the rock bands.

I have seen caches hidden in these posts before but this was especially well done.
