great sunset on top of my roof again... (trying a lens that was lend to me for a few days)

First time ever!

I got bored of my regular Blythey knits so I decided to give cables a try. I always sort of 'understood' the concept, but never tried it.

Of course, I didn't have a cable needle on me, and none of my pencils or pens were thin enough... so I used a Post-It note, and folded up the sticky side a bit, cut off the rest and it worked fine :D

cables precarios

which means lots of cables, wires, connectors, gadgets and other "stuff" on my desk... and a glass of wine in PM hours ;)

A shot of the Powell St. Cable Car Turntable. Operators must get out when they reach the end of the line to manually push the car about 170° so it can continue in the opposite direction. Once they've got it turned around, they give it a push off of the turntable and onto the other rail line.

Cable cars on the Powell-Mason route are single-front, so they have to be manually turned around before they can travel in the opposite direction. This is recorded at the turning station on Powell St. and Market St.
