I love this series because the crystals seem so magical. I discovered these beautiful ice crystals under a walking bridge in a park! I'd never seen anything like it before.
This is a macro shot of grass in my garden. The dew was so beautiful and I couldn't help thinking of a fortune teller's crystal ball when I looked at this shot!

Crystal Springs Preserve is in Zephyrhills, FL. It was once open to the public to visit but has had entry restricted to groups and booked events for some time in order to preserve the spring and grounds. In addition to the namesake springs group, the preserve features an enjoyable boardwalk and views of the Hillsborough River.
The Crystal Mill was built in 1893 to harness the power of the water from the Crystal River. The water turbine inside the mill drove an air compressor to power machinery and tools for nearby silver mines. The mill fell into disuse in 1917 and has been left as is ever since. Getting here wasn’t easy. After the 4 hour drive we reached a track only accessible by some 4x4s which we needed to hike. The hike was over 2 hours but well worth the trip. With the Apsen trees being in their peak fall yellows and oranges, it was the perfect time to visit this old piece of Colorado history.

wikipedia on the Crystal Cathedral
Affiliated with the Reformed Church in America, the church, then known as Garden Grove Community Church, was founded in 1955 by Robert H. Schuller and his wife, Arvella. The first church services were held in space rented from the Orange Drive-In Theatre.
In 1961, the congregation moved to a new sanctuary designed by architect Richard Neutra. In 1968, The Tower of Hope was completed, providing office and classroom space. Continued growth led to the need for a new facility. Schuller envisioned a unique facility with walls made of glass. Noted architect Philip Johnson was commissioned by Schuller to put his dream into reality. Construction on the Crystal Cathedral began in 1977 and was completed in 1980, built at a cost of $18 million. Upon moving from the old Neutra sanctuary to the new Johnson sanctuary, the congregation changed its name to the Crystal Cathedral. In 1990 the Prayer Spire was completed. The Family Life Center was also added in 1990 and in 2003, the church campus was completed with the opening of the Richard Meier-designed Welcoming Center. The campus is noted as a Southern California landmark
It is getting darker in the high Arctic, and colder as well: this is the time of exploring ice caves, which can be found in high abundancy at the glaciers all around. My fellow students and I discovered a small but very beautiful cave full of ice crystals, and at is was totally dark without any natural light whatsoever I totally depended on the headlights of my friends. As unusual as it is for me to show people in my pictures: I really like this photo and the mood it conveys!

Crystal, Colorado
October, 2019
Crystal Mill, Crystal, Colorado. October 2019. Originally built in 1893 as a power plant to supply compressed air for the nearby Sheep Mountain Tunnel and Mining Company. I hiked nearly 5 miles up a mountain to see this beautiful historical landmark. The fall leaves were in full display and came on the perfect day to see the aspen trees in their full glory.
This was my runner-up for yesterday's Macro Monday's theme 'rock'. The crystal is a berg-crystal I found some years back while hiking around Loch Katrine in Scotland. I liked how the crystal was fused to some other rock at the base. For this photo I placed the crystal in a baking tray filled with water, then in the dark lit some candles around it and played around with a burning stick to create the light painting. I have plenty of others I took on Sunday which I will upload over time.
This is a birds view at the Tschaukofall, the highest waterfall in the Tscheppaschlucht. The whole canyon is a great place to explore and hike. But not only the canyon, the whole region in Carnica-Region Rosental is amazing and more or less my playground ;) <3

We bought a crystall candle holder when we were in Riga. I feel I got a good picture with the help of a flash.

Crystal River Coal And Nuclear Power Plant - 15485 West Power Line Street, Crystal River, Florida
No, not a power dam on the Crystal River,
but a damn power plant!
Just kidding,
I'm not opposed to generating electricity, and Crystal River's got their bases covered with both coal and nuclear. 'Cause if something goes wrong with one of them, you're gonna need somethin' to keep all those electric cars running!!!
But, then on the other hand, if Russia hacks the grid,
nobody's goin' anywhere!
So, I'll still be keepin' at least one gas guzzler.
A still morning in the beautiful San Juan mountains of Southwest Colorado. Crystal lake is in Ironton, Colorado between Silverton and Ouray, Colorado.
A crystal ball (contact juggler's ball) inside a crystal rose bowl. Well I finally got my D300s back from the Nikon repair shop. And even better, I also bought a D750. Takes a little getting use to. but love the image quality and low noise level at high ISO. Lots of learning ahead of me.
Sorry I haven't been checking out your posts for the past couple of weeks. I have a lot of catching up to do.
