This is the first picture I took of Direction Island.

All of Cocos Keeling is beautiful enough, but Direction Island is many levels above them all.

It´s where everyone from paradise goes to relax.

The boat trip is around 30-40 minutes, depending on the weather which is around 8 kilometers from West Island.

There is so much marine life to see here. It really has to be seen to be believed.I was astonished as I waded out around 10 meters from shore and found a few variety of sharks, clown fish and so many more I wouldn´t know what they were. If I had to estimate, I would say that hundreds were around each coral reef outcrop.

But anyway, this picture is blurry because I only just took it out of an esky, so I was surprised to see it still worked. And no, I don´t know how it got into the esky. I´m sure the many beers I consumed had nothing to do with it.

I have never seen a place as beautiful as this, it is truly amazing.
