Silver-grey worsted weight yarn, 6.5 mm hook, all except button band worked double-crochet through the back loop. Button band worked single crochet through both loops. Originally planned for this piece to be a shrug but the Vanna's Choice (Lion Brand) yarn was too thick to get the look I wanted. After staring at the rectangle of fabric for almost a month, I finally got an idea to turn it into a shawl/capelet. I LOVE buttons, so I just simply added the buttonband and buttons. Voila!, a crocheted shawl with the lacy look of knitted lace but with only a fraction of the time and concentration knitting would require (at least for me anyway)!
I like buttons. I even have a button press so that whenever I want a certain kind of button all I have to do is draw or print a design and *presto* button time!
Item Collaboration: Buttons
After trying to sew the button facing as shown in the Japanese dolly book I decide to sew it like I would to for my own shirt.
I do hope it will help and crafting as your own risk
I wouldn’t normally give it second thought about pressing the button, but we are living in strange times. People with existing phobia around this kind of activity must be really suffering with the emergence of the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
Rustic button as made by me today from natural material. No clues, and no scale. What is it made of?

“Super Button Mashers” a group show tribute to the gamers in all of us. Tons of exciting happenings surrounding this show that I will tease. Important to mention to kick off, when the show opens its doors Saturday Feb. 11th, expect not only a brand new OhNo!Doom but a brief secondary transformation as the gallery becomes OhNo!ARCADE!

Barrette i made for a friend using an old barrette for a base, lace scraps, old buttons, beads and bits of broken jewelry, and of course a hot glue gun...
Here it sits on my messy work space... I have to see the buttons and touch them to pick the right one...
A friend asked for a bouquet in Black, White, Orange, and Hot Pink. I was not sure .... now I love the combo!
Pretty much all computer mice use the same style of mouse button. If you have a expensive mouse and the mouse button ever wears out, instead of replacing the mouse, why not just get a replacement mouse button instead.
All you need is a soldering iron, de-solder the old mouse button, then remove it, then slide in the new mouse button and re solder it in place, the total job may take about 5 minutes.
the best way to get mouse buttons is to either find old or broken mice that you no longer use, or buy a extremely cheap mouse from a flea market or ebay then use it for spare parts.
PS while it is easy to take the mouse button apart, theres nothing to fix on the inside, the actual metal parts get worn down (which is why before the button is completely dead, you generally have to press the mouse button harder than you normally would for it to respond).
Admirable sentiments on this little Damned button badge. The Pistols were always lauded as the one true great British punk band, the only band that mattered, and The Clash were the heroes of the serious political side of it all, but for me The Damned were far and away the best band of "the big three".
