Since I really like the shape of this vase, I decided to play it safe on the neck. I just gave the neck a little flare. The next step is to add a few divots to the neck. Finally, I trimmed the foot.
Conductor Jared Smith clings to the rear gondola on his train as the consist shoves down track 16 in Loyall to clear it for further use. While watching the moves here in the yard, I noticed just how bad the track is- every set of wheels that crossed the jointed rail sunk what I would estimate maybe 8 inches, making quite the ruckus. It's clear that these tracks will need some work, or at least some more stability. That must have been one bumpy ride.
