I started out with some really heavy slip marks. I eventually combed most of it off. I wanted to retain the general form. I think the heavy slip would be better if used on a piece to hide some major flaw. Maybe I'll use more slip on the next one.
Wow there are some tough runs at Whistler-Blackcomb. And there are almost always people going down them. Unbelievable skiers there.
I am going to throw a top with 3 pounds of B-mix. I want to throw a cone that will just fit into the neck of my bumpy vase. I had to dig around and find a set of caliphers. This is one of the few cases where I feel the need to use them. A steel tape measure almost always works better for me. I want the bottom of the cone to come to rest about 3/4 of an inch below the neck of the vase.
