Frozen cookie dough - any batter recipe works - makes infinitely better cookies. Better than even just chilling it in the fridge. And the crowning glory - if you have the time when you mix the dough - is to actually individually freeze small balls of dough (thumbnail size). Then when you go to bake, lightly press together a handful of the balls (don't totally squish them into one mass, you want all the balls just to stick together) and place on the baking sheet. The result? Lumpy, bumpy, soft and perfectly delicious cookies every time!

It's bigger than it looks...and it seems to work too. Spent much of yesterday on the deck, and didn't get a single mosquito bite.
With my camera mounted on a tripod inside the car, the street lamps outside were "dancing" in this image.

This is what speed bumps are for right?
As soon as I looked at the fixed wheel this morning the flat tyre was obvious. Damned flinty grit that's all over the place, that's four punctures in the last month on two different bikes. Hadn't got round to fixing the flat on the Kaff either so it was a choice between jumping on the mountain bike for the commute or fixing one of the flats before riding to work. So I chose the former. Which always makes me just want to have fun.
