Bluefaced Leicester is next-to-the-skin soft and has a long staple, making it perfect for socks! It may, of course, be used for other items such as shawls, scarves, jumpers and baby items. It is naturally lustrous.

i was just practicing with this one. i had some trouble getting it started the way i wanted and ended up losing a lot of fiber in the process (does anyone else waste fiber while drafting or is that just me??). then i decided to switch whorls to the fast one (for the first time) and things went much better. not enough yardage to do much with, but still happy for the practice.

someday i hope to get consistent fingering weight.

Fibre is from The Black Lamb. It was spun on my Tom Forrester spindle. The dark stripes are leftover handspun BFL sock yarn from AllSpunUp. The pattern was improvised as I went along.

Bought from a local MN sheep person at the State Fair. I think I bought around 7 ounces. It's written down somewhere, but not within reach. I dyed some of this in the "Wine and Roses" colorway.
