SpaceX lit up the Florida skies this morning with the latest batch of Starlink 4-17 satellites at 5:42 a.m. EDT, from LC-39A on NASA's Kennedy Space Center. When the rocket exhaust is illuminated by the sun, it starts to look like a space jellyfish.

Not the "normal" #SpaceX #Falcon9 booster return to Port Canaveral. After launching the #CRS16 resupply mission to the ISS on December 5th, the B1050 booster suffered a hydraulic pump failure for the grid fins & caused the computer to make a controlled landing in the ocean off the coast of Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The black interstage looks severely damaged & corrosion would be a risk for reuse, after soaking in salt water for more than 48 hours.

Congratulations to #SpaceX for the beautiful #Falcon9 launch with the Air Force Space Command next-gen #GPSIII Satellite. Nicknamed "Vespucci" and built by Lockheed Martin, launch occurred at 8:51 a.m. EST from #SLC40 on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

It was a very beautiful early morning launch for SpaceX with the NASA Crew-2 mission headed for the ISS. The mission was SpaceX’s third crew flight, and first with a reused booster B1061.2, and the first reuse of Crew Dragon Endeavour. Launch occurred at 5:49 a.m. EDT from LC-39A on the Kennedy Space Center. You can see the cold gas thrusters pulsing to reorient the first stage.

After being clear most of the evening, a few clouds went by during the #SpaceX #Falcon9 launch with the Starlink-1 payload of 60 satellites. The first of many launches to create a constellation of thousands of satellites to provide high-speed internet to the world. Launch was at 10:30 p.m. last night from SLC-40 on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station

SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket launched the STP-2 mission at 2:30 am from LC-39A on the Kennedy Space Center. The two side boosters returned to land at LZ-1 & LZ-2 on the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, creating the two side-by-side landing streaks. Had to play hide and seek from the bright lights of the dredge in the shipping channel at Port Canaveral, but the lifeguard tower was up to the challenge.
