It is What it is

3D blender Eiffel Tower

One of the contorted wave features at Wolf Knoll, a rarely-visited outcrop of Navajo sandstone on the Paria Plateau with features like those at Coyote Buttes. Something appears to have altered these strata while they were soft.

I was playing around a bit with Blender over the weekend while waiting for more bricks. Here is the result, hope you like it!

I just realised she was never posted here.

Posed and rendered in Blender with my custom materials.

This render is a copy of one of Anders Lƶfgren's photos. I really suggest you to follow his work, I love his architectures and his games of shadows and lights.

Blender photo taken with the Koroll 24 camera that I previously used in week 132 of my 52 film cameras in 52 weeks project:

As the name suggests, this model manages to squeeze 24 exposures out of a roll of 120 film, by using a mask to make the image size 3cm x 4cm. The edges of the film are wasted, but by using the "12 frame" backing paper markings twice, 24 exposures are made.

I removed the mask, so the full width of the film is exposed, and the frames overlap, but if a full frame is desired, the film can simply be advanced twice.

The film was expired Fujichrome Provia ISO100 slide film, which I cross processed in Tetenal C41 chemistry.

The Son of Man (French: Le fils de l'homme) is a 1964 painting by the Belgian surrealist painter RenƩ Magritte.

Magritte painted it as a self-portrait. The painting consists of a man in an overcoat and a bowler hat standing in front of a low wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man's eyes can be seen peeking over the edge of the apple. Another subtle feature is that the man's left arm appears to bend backwards at the elbow.

Dusk at Stansbury Island - Great Salt Lake, Utah

My 1st week playing with Blender, just wanted to go with something simple.

starting to learn how to do materials/textures

A little exercise I started months back, which of course ended up harder and longer than I anticipated.

But this is only half of it, the next step is to composite the dancing robot into live footage next to real people. (and tidy up the movement a little)

Here is my final(?) render of 590 using Blender with all the stickers and parts. It is a combination of Mecabricks, LDraw, and custom sticker images.

i took apart used cooking/cleaning appliances, and arranged their interior parts very systematically on a white sheet of bristol board. my intention was to explore the hidden "brains" of these appliances; allowing us to view these everyday objects from a new perspective.

I'm currently working on my short film! Coming soon!

Stay tuned!

Taken from a vaporetto (water bus) as it travelled down the Grand Canal in Venice. I used a home built BlenderCam which evolved from my pinhole blender cameras. An image is formed on 35mm film which is held in a curved path, such that the effective focal length of the lens gets longer, and the effective aperture gets smaller the further away it is from the centre. By advancing the film to include an overlap, sequential images become blended together. I made the body of BlenderCam at an introductory laser cutting workshop at Access Space, Sheffield. The lens and shutter assembly is scavenged from an old Bierette camera.

I loaded the film with the base layer facing the lens, so the image is formed by light passing through the orange film, giving the so called redscale effect.

Still running on gas powering the renders so picking through basics till I can upgrade the hamsters!.

...but that said, it's great fun trying to learn the basics. Love this free software.
