Been to Gardens By The Bay several times and it still never fails to captivate my attention each time I visited. This shot was taken from the Singapore flyers with my iPhone! Not much of a sunset really! But still beautiful nonetheless!
This is the same flower as the one I posted yesterday, but taken at a lower pov and with a different focus. Here the sun is the focus instead of the flower and I filtered it to bring out the sunshine. This might be what my friend Gunta has suggested to be a flowerscape rather than a flower shoot! Which one appeal to you more?
The Changi Broadwalk is a 2.2km boardwalk at Changi Point, Singapore. At its western most section is a portion known as sunset walk. Here is a picture taken with my iPhone at this place and you can understand the reason for its name!
Time flies and the weekend is over in a blink! Here is a sunset shot I took at Chateau de Maisons at Maisons-Lafitte yesterday. The image is composed to mimic the horse statue chasing after the sun. Also to imply that we are always chasing after time!!!
After a long business trip, I am happy to be back in Paris with my family. Went with my wife to enjoy an evening walk by the river seine to watch the sunset. Here is a shot I took while my wife was busy snapping at the swans.
I took a leisurely stroll and admired the serenity of this reservoir park. The picture showed the parkās iconic rocket-shaped tower against the setting sun, which formed a lovely scene that attracts many park goers. At the top of the tower, one wil be rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the reservoir waters and adjacent greenery. A beautiful place to relax and for watching sunsets.
Beautiful moments can happen at the most unsuspecting time! This sunset shot was taken at Upper Seletar Reservoir Park, Singapore on a cloudy drizzling day. I was crazy enough to go when it was still raining, and I was rewarded for being crazy I guess!
The Pinnacle@Duxton is an award-winning residential building in Singapore's city center. The project features the world's two longest sky gardens of 500m each, on both the 26th and 50th floors. It is the world's tallest public residential building.
Was having dinner at East Coast Seafood Centre. The row of restaurants is just on the right, outside of this picture. The restaurants have a direct view to the seas and a very pleasant place for dinning. I stood on the break waters for this sunset shot.

Saxon Switzerland - Elbe Sandstone Mountains
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saxon_Switzerland
Saxon Switzerland (German: SƤchsische Schweiz) is a hilly climbing area and national park around the Elbe valley south-east of Dresden in Saxony, Germany. Together with the Bohemian Switzerland in the Czech Republic it forms the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
Saxon Switzerland alone has some 1,000 climbing peaks, as well as several hollows. The area is popular with local and international climbers.
The administrative district for the area is SƤchsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge. The fortress of Kƶnigstein is a well-known landmark.
Hills
As a rule, two types of hill may be distinguished.
Numerous rock formations in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, in both Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland, are known locally in this region as Steine ("rocks"). Prominent examples are the Kƶnigstein, the Lilienstein, the Gohrisch and the Papststein. This description does not, however, include the dome-shaped Kuppen such as the Waitzdorfer Hƶhe or the GroĆer Winterberg, whose bedrock is made of volcanic basalt or granitic material.
The Cretaceous sandstone formations soar above the so-called "levels" of their surrounding area, the former level of the River Elbe, and represent the remains of an old peneplain. In the course of the Late Tertiary, uplifting of the Ore Mountains and sideways pressure from the Lusatian Highlands shattered the sandstone plate along lines that intersected like a grid and this, combined with the simultaneously increasing stream velocity of the Elbe and regressive erosion in its side valleys, offered new lines of attack and new routes for the destructive power of water. Initially the larger table hills (Lilienstein), or those already deeply fissured like Zirkelstein, Kaiserkrone or already forested (Kohlbornstein), remained, but these too broke up later as a result of erosive destruction into long ridges (Schrammsteine) or even into individual rock pinnacles (TorwƤchter). Morphologically harder sections of strata, that resisted karstification longer and more successfully, generally form the uppermost layers. The collapse of rock structures is usually therefore a result of erosion from below or from the flanks.
I don“t know why it is but between march and april the sunsets produces awesome colors. I think it is really something worth looking out for in this few months because as the summer arrives the sunsets starting to change in colors and appearance. They will still be beautiful but not the same as in these spring months.
