The requirement for Covered Entities to complete a HIPAA risk assessment is not a new aspect of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. The requirement was first brought into being in 2003 in the first HIPAA Privacy Rule, and subsequently enhanced to cover the administrative, physical and technical security measures of the HIPAA Security Rule.
In 2013, the Final Omnibus Rule amended the HIPAA Security Rule and specific breach notification clauses of the HITECH Act. The new regulations further enhanced the requirement to conduct a HIPAA risk assessment to Business Associates, and also increased the monetary fine a Covered Entity or Business Associate could be hot with for non-compliance with HIPAA regulations.

In my final controlled assessment of my magazine front cover, i have chosen this as my final image to then create my front cover. I chose the magazine Vogue as my magazine choice as it is fashion and beauty based and that is what i wanted my magazine front cover to look like. The final image i choose i think fits well for the purpose of the magazine theme as i have taken the picture from mid point so it is only of her upper body and face focusing in on the clothes and the natural make up she is wearing. I think the way i have laid out my image is good as i have put the image on the right side of the image allowing me to still have space on the left side for the magazine content. The colours i have chosen as the background and writing of the font are successful with each other as i have chosen a dark purple background, which for women is a very common favourite colour which would attract people, with then bold thin white font as the title cover instantly drawing people into the magazine. I have also chosen a bright pink and white for the other smaller writing on the page making sure people are still drawn to the writing but not being taken away from the title of image as i have made sure they are the main focal point. Overall, in my opinion the strengths of my magazine front cover is the layout as i have made sure the layout is successful by leaving head room and making the picture fit well next to the writing. If i were to improve this magazine front cover i would try and use natural lighting to make the image more effective.

My character for this assessment was a zombie dental nurse. The main products I used were tissue, latex, runny blood, scab blood and a bruising wheel. Another product I used was sculpting gel to create the slit throat which effectively worked with my idea. My idea was that the nurse had the injuries from a patient. The slit throat was created by the patient getting hold of a sharp tool within the dentist and slitting the nurses throat open. She had the burn on her face from the patient grabbling harmful chemicals and attacking her. The discolouration of the skin was from when the transformation into a zombie had started.
