Two roads diverge in a wood,

and I took the one less traveled by,

and that has made all the difference.

This image has sort of "taken flight" -- becoming my most viewed collage in June, thanks to all the visitors here! And it was by far my most viewed collage for the three summer months of 2008.

THIS IS A PERSONAL FAVOURITE. I was after that feeling of 'old print' It is a specific light, sometimes people think it is underexposed, but no, this is what I wanted! A client bought and renovated a beautiful Victorian house, they wanted photos for the rooms of Victorian (style) flowers, portrait format, but of course I tried all kinds after I'd finished the commission.

Have a blooming day and thanx for your comments, M, (*_*)

The author of these sculptures, and the owner of the garden, is Bruno Torfs, a South-American artist who moved to Australia a few years ago to find the appropriate place to set up his project. He started out with fifteen outdoor sculptures and a pavilion where he could display his drawings and paintings. However, he soon realised the potential of sculptures and he's been focusing his work on them ever since.

Silent Tears in Monochrome | Emotional Fine Art Portrait Photography. This black and white emotional portrait captures a quiet moment of vulnerability—a child’s tears etched in light and shadow. The stark monochrome palette heightens the raw intensity of the gaze, drawing the viewer into a story of innocence touched by sorrow.

Through chiaroscuro contrast and a powerful composition, this fine art photograph transforms fleeting emotion into timeless expression. The portrait speaks without words, a reminder of the fragile depth of human experience and the beauty found in unguarded honesty.

Perfect for lovers of bwportrait, moody portraiture, fine art photography, and emotive storytelling, this image invites reflection and connection beyond the frame.

Light and shadow 005

Mothwings fluttering,

hover, rust,

crossed and patched

return to dust

Please allow me to explain the title:

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal

Matthew 6:19

In case you're interested (man in the moon perhaps) this is some lovely rust a friend and I found in a business district, cropped, then layered and tortured.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!! EXPLORE!!

Another one with the Contax G2, on Fuji Neopan 1600. Again I really like the atmosphere of using this combination - I would not be able to replicate this digitally.

LA GOTA DE AGUA

Oh gota musical que se separa

de la inmortalidad y oye mi oído

caer continuamente en el olvido

de mi honda penumbra, oh gota clara!

Una estrofilla de infantil dulzura,

sólo en la fuente alguna vez oída,

me ejecuta en el alma la caída

inmaterial de aquella gota pura.

De un agua fresca como cisterna,

mi pozo espiritual colma la gota;

Not sure how I got this weird color tone, but I like it!

I know I look ridiculously serious, but this is my concentration face. Look *through* the canvas till you see the perfect form
