Ready to fly, Toyo VX125 with three lenses and 5 slide holders in a HPRC 2500 case, ready for carry on and storage in you overhead compartment. This is the kit i take with me on most architecture shoots.

The smooth glass on a building reflecting the patterned glass of the Gherkin. For MSH "surface detail". Also for 7DOS windows (shoot anything Saturday).

Gothic quarter in Barcelona is part of the city center that houses buildings that are so old and so huge. It's hard to imagine how people in the past had managed to erupt such structures that can last another few thousand years. It's an amazing site in the city! This picture was taken with TS 24mm that I had rented. Initially I had no clue how to put it into good use. Couldn't manage to take good pictures of those huge buildings using this lens by tilting and shifting due to lack of prior experience with TS and architecture shooting, hence shifted my focus towards people and those endless roads between the buildings.

. . to go fishing.

Moored fishing vessels on a small inlet on Koh Samui.

Been way too busy to post and visit, sorry. The usual - family, work, travel, but have found some luck in doing various architectural shoots such as for a new Bangkok hotel and a luxurious beach setting double villa complex on Samui. Not earth shattering stuff, and I'd rather be doing landscapes (and my new "bent", glamour / boudoir), but all dosh goes towards new equipment.

With likely confinement at home for a couple of days because of the "redshirts" protests here, I think I'll at long last get the opportunity to come by and visit. Hope y'all's fine.

This shot was taken during an 'architecture shoot' in Glasgow last week.

Something a little different from what seems to have become my 'normal' shots, and even ticks the 'I fancy doing a mono conversion shot' issue that I've had during the last few weeks.

I was goofing off. I shot this roll just to teach myself how to develop color film. I'm getting better at judging distances and in handling the negatives. This was lomography cn100 film and scanned with my plustek

While doing a architectural shoot for a hotel, the owners asked me to make a few portraits of the chef and kitchen staff. The light in the kitchen was not the best and it was the tail end of the lunch rush so I couldn't set up any lighting. None the less, it was the highlight of my day posing the guys and shooting with on-camera flash.

Aarhus Ø

Aarhus Island is a whole new city, which has arisen in connection with the expansion of the neighboring harbor areas in Aarhus. The water and the harbor have always had an important significance for Aarhus, and at the moment there is a fantastic change in the entire harbor area near the city center.

Aarhus is the youngest district in Aarhus

Here the architects have free play and new and modern architecture shoots up and blends with the city's existing architecture and environments. The distinctive construction of the iceberg has already become an icon at the entrance to Aarhus along with another architectural gem, Lighthouse.

The whole area now stands as a charming canal town, and with the south facing staircase in front of Navitas, you can walk from the cafés in the city center and down and dip your toes at the water's edge in minutes.

Life and activity on Aarhus Ø

There is a lot of happening on Aarhus Island, and you have to finally look past:

E-Haven

Ø-Haven is a town garden located at the tip of Aarhus Ø between Isbjerget and Lighthouse on Pier 4. The city center of Aarhus is actually Denmark's largest and aims to offer the city's citizens a small utility garden where you can grow flowers, vegetables, herbs and more. Read more at oehaven.dk

watchtower

A lot of exciting things are happening on Aarhus Island, and the area has also got its very own lookout tower. The tower, measuring 15 meters from top to toe, is not just a lookout but also an architecturally beautiful sculpture designed by Dorte Mandrup.

Aarhus Havbane

If you are swimming, Aarhus Havbane is just for you. At the end of Aarhus Island you will find Aarhus' Garden Lane, which is 500 meters long. The sea lane is approved by the Maritime Authority and marked by yellow and orange bends, which means that all ships are prohibited from sailing on the track. See more at aarhushavbane.dk.

Navitas

Navitas is one of the many buildings that have recently been shot on the waterfront in Aarhus, close to Aarhus Ø. The star-shaped building is well worth a visit, not least for its architectural appearance, but also the beautiful outdoor areas around the building that has become a favorite haven for pure relaxation by the water. See more at nsi-navitas.dk.

MY POOL

Take the MIN PORT route, which is a mobile application. gives 10 stories about life in Aarhus' new district.

Even more projects are on the way to Aarhus Ø, among other things, architect Bjarke Ingels is behind some of the thoughts of the area where urban space and landscape are reconsidered.

7 Days of Shooting/Week #26 - Architecture/Shoot Anything Saturday

Designed by Eric Miralles, the building is constructed from steel, oak and granite.

More information about the buildings can be found here

www.scottish.parliament.uk/visitandlearn/9983.aspx and I've posted a wider view below.

From an architectural shoot last night, Columbus Circle, NYC.

Bottom right square shows the base image of an interesting light shade. The other 9 squares are reflected images made using a phone app. Quite an interesting change from land scape and architecture shooting.

Just playing around with architectural shooting. Pretty tough high-contrast subject. Probably would have been better with a bit more exposure and underdevelopment. Spot metered off the sunlit wall to the left with my Minolta spot meter, and adjusted for highlight reading.

Digitized with my Sony A7II and macro lens, using a 4-shot composite.

Not that I do much architecture shooting, but with a treasure trove of metal and glass, I could't help myself :)

Canary Wharf (Buisness district), London

Inspired by the work of mrlange I did some architecture shootings.

These stairs were built in 1994 and are 15m high. Located at Göthe-Institute munich.

Real Estate photography is something that have always been an interest to me. I have done architectural shoot before but mostly for portfolios. So real estate is something kind of new to me. Any comment welcome and would be much appreciate.

I think what i am getting at is Real Estate photography do not usually pay that well so I am looking for a quickest way possible to get the job done. Rather than setting up lights or spending hours in post processing.

These images have a little tweek in photoshop (about 1/2-1hr per image). If post processing need to be done to get good result then it NEEDS to be done. But is/are there a quicker way?

3x HDR merged and tweek in LR and PS.

Three images selected from an architectural shoot from earlier this year.

Mario Hofferer architecture shooting..... well kind of :-)

Headed out at lunch time to take a few shots with the 14mm on the camera and work on my architectural shooting. Happy with these. There are a couple of interesting buildings in Liverpool.

These are all of the same building. I was experimenting with stitching panos with relatively tall buildings. I stitched them then worked on several different 'leans' to get the look I wanted. I am testing how critical not having a tilt / shift lens is for someone who likes shooting buildings.

These where all 2 or 3 shot panos. Lens distortion correction applied in autopano with perspecive correction also done in APG.
