This is now my 500th picture that I uploaded to Flickr :)

That's a good reason to look at bit at the statistics. The viewer count is at 435.000 now. I never ever expected to get so many views when I opened my Flickr account. Thank you all a lot your support!! :)

When looking at the statistics I also noticed something strange about the Flickr Explore and wanted to know if you are having similar experiences with it. My experience is, that it's exactly one year ago that I got my last picture into Flickr Explore. Until this moment I had already (if I didn't miscount) 376 pictures uploaded on Flickr and 26 pictures of them made it into Explore which is about 1 of 14,5 pictures. During the last year I added 124 pictures and none of them got into explore anymore. Just wondering if you are having similar experiences with Flickr Explore?

Well I hope you like this shot, it's taken from the same mountain as my last shot.

Lichtenberg Mountain and Lake Valhalla from the top of Mount McClausland. I did go down to the lake after this first portion of the hike, but there were so many over night campers down there just waking up that I didn't want to disturb them, so I left quietly.

I woke up to a view that took my breath away... The mountains, towering and grand, made me feel tiny... It’s no wonder people chase this feeling, risking everything just to be close to such wonder ️
