Freshly made pancakes to order, glass tumblers of Turkish tea and/or coffee ... mmmm. And, some very welcome shade from the searing Turkish summer sun.
They constantly sail around the many lovely island lagoons of Fethiye Bay, touting for business from tourists whose day trip boats have moored for an hour or two. If you prefer eating ashore, out in the sun on the beach, then they'll wait on you right there. Definitey, a wonderfully unique experience. Also, on the right, note the small "Algida" motor-boat ~ these dash around selling ice cream in similarly popular places. See the "Walls" logo on the parasol? They sell Turkish ice-cream too. It's a much thicker consistancy than ours ~ and doesn't melt so fast. Yummy, yummy.
Early doors boxing day found me down the beach with the kids for the annual, Tenby, Boxing Day Swim.
AROUND-THE-WORLD adventurer Rosie Swale Pope led hundreds of bathers into the sea for yesterday’s Tenby Boxing Day Swim.
The event, organised by the Tenby Sea Swimming Association and sponsored by cottage letting agency FBM Holidays, has helped five charities this year, including Barnardo’s Cymru, the British Retinitis Pigmentosa Society, Plant Dewi, Sandy Bear and Friends and the Tinkers Hill Trust.
Partygoers arrived at North Beach at 11am to watch the swim and enjoy a raft race, sailing and canoe races, a lifeboat launch and fancy dress parade.
Commemorative medals were presented to all swimmers, who dried off around a beach bonfire.
THE fund set-up to raise money in memory of murdered newlyweds Ben and Catherine Mullany has topped more than £33,000.
The couple, both 31 and from Pontardawe, Swansea Valley, were shot on the last day of their honeymoon on the Caribbean island of Antigua in July.

The course, where guardsmen from both countries practiced procedures on one another, was part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Malaysia 2011. CARAT is a series of bilateral exercises held annually in Southeast Asia to strengthen relationships and enhance force readiness.
