Abstracted reflection of red cranes in glass wall of building, near Coal Harbour, Vancouver, BC. It looks like a painting.
Former Studio Artist Jocelyn Foye, assistant Michelle and dancer Kelly Valignota rehearse Jocelyn's piece "Balley Abstracted" for the upcoming exhibition "Actions, Conversations and Intersections" at the Municipal Gallery of the City of Los Angeles. "Actions, Conversations and Intersections" is co-curated by former AGCC Studio Artist Edith Abeyta
I saw this image from across the river, and at first thought that it was a brightly colored rock. Upon zooming in, however, it turned out to be a pretty bloom of some sort. I thought that these treatments made this a more interesting shot than the original since the focus is the colorful algae being plowed over by the stream.
A few cork oak plantations where planted when Canberra was being built as part of an investigation into what form of forestry would prove profitable for the area. Pinus radiata won the day.
Cubs scouts in colorful rain gear gather on the field at Maple leaves on the roof of one of the buildings at Scouts Canada Camp Opemikon, near Perth Ontario.
ART+TECH FESTIVAL 2016 - #ARTEX
Artificial Experiences

As technology seeps into every second of our waking lives, what experiences from the digital realm are real and worthy of engagement? What moments spent in flesh are glossed over and abstracted, losing their authenticity? How do we assign value to experiences, inside and outside of our screens? How is that value reflected in the ways we work and play in San Francisco and other urban environments?

abstracted view of creek, Great Smoky Mtns, Tennessee, US. For some reason this reminds me of an old Bela Lugosi movie.

I am a flower addict. My garden is full, and yet, I still want more. I can't control myself at the green house> I even ban myself from sneaking in there once I have filled all of my pots and beds.
Flowers are the essence of passion. They demand that the world take notice of them. Their pressence is for beauty, we shall reward the flowers by taking notice.
I made this pendant for the Wire Artisans Guild theme challenge: 'orchids'.
I'm not the sort of person that knows anything about flowers, but I was captivated by the 'orchid room' at a large conservatory. I couldn't stop snatching pictures of the strange forms, some looking like aliens, in all imaginable shapes, varieties, and vivid colors.
This pendent is my asymmetrical spin on my favorite (usually quite symmetrical) flower.
Taken for "abstract" challenge with Llansaint Camera Group, found this really challenging and made me think outside the square:)
Abstracted from a handheld blurry shot, with HDR toning and level manipulation in CS5.
Can anyone else see this as a guy in sunglasses peeking?

Part of the Domestic Art Collaboration Series (makin' stuff with my kids...) :)
A funny thing happened while we made some paper cut-outs... I thought it was funny that random cuts into paper that I had folded in no particular order could come out looking like - an owl! What does it look like to you?
