When I went past these ATM machines last night, I was intrigued by the green neon lights. Somehow they introduced reflections to my phone camera. Weird.

It is hard to believe from the picture, but there is a genuine operating and modern ATM inside this wood shack, located in the middle of nowhere 80 miles north of San Antonio , in the ghost town looking community of Luckenback - population of 3!
Several times a month a country music concert and dancing hall brings hundreds of people to relive the good old days and the ATM becomes very convenient to pay the bar tab in cash at the local saloon (no credit card allowed).
A sign behind the saloon bar counter warns visitors: "if you need credit, you do not need a beer, you need a job!"
I guess it is part of the folklore

The first ATM was installed at the Enfield branch of Barclays Bank, the first withdrawal taking place on 27 June 1967. The little plaque does not record that the first customer was local comedy actor Reg Varney, this a couple of years before his role as Stan Butler in 'On the Buses'.
