Female Muskox, Musk Ox, Musk-Ox, Ovibos moschatus, 1.9 - 2.4 m / 6.23 - 6.89 ft. Stocky, shaggy bovid of the arctic tundra, preferring grassy areas in the summer and windswept areas with exposed vegetation in the winter. My apologies for the huge file size, it was spotted right along the primitive road about 15 yards from the vehicle window.

I've posted the first four volumes of my Black Lake series, and volume 6 and 7 which have never been published, in their entirety, if you'd like to give them a read:
Spent about an hour taking photo's prior to sun up... the starburst and light distortion in this shot stood out from the rest. Without any ND filters I closed down the aperture to f/22 to keep the shot open as long as I could; the longer shots produce more of the starburst I was looking for. Even so, I was limited to 1/25th of a second. Shot was taken at Lake Lanier, located about 45 minutes north of Atlanta, GA.
