For this bit of sleep I did select a hotel close to blue line, not that expensive and close to the inner city center. Next time, I should bring my mechanical tools kit to have the window open higher and not need to construct tripod support to have less trouble shooting when needed... :-). Stay healthy and safe! This thing is coming back strong. Thx, Udo.

Matt Brooks and his team aboard Dorade arrived in Cowes today after finishing the 2015 Transatlantic Race. The team shaved over a day off Rod and Olin Stephen’s 1931 time in the race, covering 3,220 nautical miles in 14 days, 22 hours, 55 minutes and 57 seconds.

IC5146 The Cocoon Nebula in Cygnus. Exposure time 11 and a half hours in H-alpha six hours of Luminance one and a half hours for each RGB channels Total 22hours. This was very a real labour of love actually starting to collect frames in H-alpha back in 2013 completing the image in June 2014. The lack of dark skies during the UK's summer made it a challenge only grabbing half an hour at a time on the best nights which were far and few. I wanted to see how much background emission I could show.
This is my starless image of The Running Chicken Nebula. Cataloged as IC 2944, the Running Chicken Nebula spans about 100 light years and lies about 6,000 light years away toward the constellation of the Centaur (Centaurus). The featured image, shown in scientifically assigned colors, was captured recently in a 12-hour exposure. The star cluster Collinder 249 is visible embedded in the nebula's glowing gas. Although difficult to discern here, several dark molecular clouds with distinct shapes can be found inside the nebula.

Built in 1947 as the fourth Bonanza off the production line. It was fitted with additional fuel tanks and made two record-breaking long-distance flights as well as a later ‘Round-the-world’ flight. The two long distances flights were both piloted by William P. ‘Bill’ Odom. The first was from Hawaii to Oakland on 12th January 1949, the 2,900mile flight taking 22hours and 6minutes. This was the first time a light aircraft had flown from Hawaii to the continental United States.
The second flight was also from Hawaii, but crossed the continental United States as well. ‘Waikiki Beech’ departed from Honolulu on 6th March 1949 and arrived in Teterboro, New Jersey, on 8th March, some 36hours and 1 minute later. Averaging 146.3mph, the 5,290mile flight used less than $75 worth of fuel and oil and was good publicity for the increasingly popular Bonanza. After a national tour, the aircraft was donated to the National Air museum, but this was not the end of the story.
In 1951 it was returned to Beech, who refurbished it for a ‘round-the-world’ flight to be carried out by Congressman Peter F.Mack Jr. With the Bonanza now rechristened ‘Friendship Flame’, Mack left Springfield, Illinois, on 7th October 1951 and visited forty-five cities in thirty-five countries on a one-man self-funded peace mission. He returned 113 days later, landing at Wichita, Kansas, on 19th April 1952 having flown some 33,000 miles and also became the first person to carry out a solo flight across of the Pacific Ocean.
Returned to the Smithsonian Institute, and refurbished by Beech again in 1975, the Bonanza is on display at the Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center as part of the National Air and Space Museum.

When you say " Australia " , two kind of animals comes to your mind Koala and Kanguru :) so here is a shot for a Koala and hopefully soon i will post a shot for a Kanguru but need to organize my archive first ...
Koala is one of the coolest animals in the world and if you ever had the chance to be an animal then Koala is your choice ;) ( a question which i asked by the zoo keeper after a tour XD ) all what they do is sleep and eat. They sleep around 22hours a day and then wake up to eat for 2 hours and then go back to sleep :) What a life :)

I think this was ~ 22 hours of time lapse video taking a photo every 5 minutes (11 seconds long at 24fps... is that math right?).
Anyway, enjoy this new video of what I think is a handful of green bean seeds sprouting and growing. Quite amazing what can happen in less than a day.
22hours later and the lions were still killing the buffalo bull. See video and story on www.wildcast.net

We managed a time of 22hours and 44mins.
On our flight back from Tokyo we stopped in LA and Detroit (you'd think with all those stops it would have taken us a long time, but it was only about 22hours of total travel time). We saw this little guy in the LA airport. He was probably the ugliest dog I have ever seen. Ana agreed with me. Glad I had the camera handy.
