I'm making the (hopefully) final adjustments to my Kate dress wearable (I hope!) toile and am ready to restart the sewing! I added 1" to the armsyce (and lengthened the dress by 2" and the sleeves by 1") while tracing the pattern, tacked the front and back together and then made more adjustments - I've taken 1/4" back out of the armscye and raised the bust dart by 1/2". #2016fal Ā°

Goodness knows how (the magnificent) Charlotte et al did far more complicated sewing under constant scrutiny and time pressure - it's just taken me an hour to alter the back pattern and trim the front and back pieces and I'm jiggered!
