I'm in birding withdrawal so I'm going back and looking at some birding photos that I haven't posted yet. This one is from the end of August, the first evening we went to see the shorebird migration. What a wonderful evening it was!
I think that it's a Semipalmated Sandpiper on the left and a Sanderling on the right (please correct me if I didn't ID properly). The whole time we were there that evening there was just the one Sanderling.
It seems like I can't stop getting new (to me) trucks, won't I?
This one is special for a signal reason: its arm. While sister truck #1566 is the first truck I have seen, this truck is the first I got to see up close with the Rail-Arm. It was a nice change of pace from the candy-cane arms I am all too familiar with. It was also backed up with a nice exhaust note, not too akin of #1162.
I got this picture since it was the best picture I could get with the Rail-Arm in action. I knew people have better shots of these arms, but since this was the best one I could get, I took it.
