Ravensburg, Baden-Wurtemberg, Deutschland.

Ravensburg is a city in Germany, capital of the district of Ravensburg, in the south of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. The city is located in the valley of the Schussen River, which runs through the outskirts of the city, in the vicinity of Lake Constance. It is one of the main centers of the historical region of Upper Swabia. Ravensburg is known in the area as the city of towers, due to the large number of medieval towers in its urban area. That is why it has also been called das Schwäbische Nürnberg (the Nuremberg of Swabia). It has a population of 49,327 inhabitants. It forms a conurbation of about 80,000 inhabitants with the neighboring city of Weingarten.

Ravensburg is a typical city of southern Germany, medieval in character, capital of the homonymous district, and belonging to the Tübingen region, within the Federated State of Baden-Württemberg.

The city is located on the banks of the Schussen River, in a valley surrounded by forests and hills, which flows into Lake Constance. Due to the physical borders between the lake itself and the Alps, it is located at an important crossroads, between cities such as Friedrichshafen and Ulm, from south to north, or towards Wangen, Kempten or Füssen, to the east.

Ravensburg forms a conurbation with neighboring Weingarten. It also has several important districts such as Weissenau, Schmalegg, Oberzell, Eschach, Taldorf and Oberhofen.

Noteworthy are the predominant hills to the east of the city, where Veitburg Castle is located, with magnificent views. As well as the Schmalegger Tobel, located in Schmalegg, a deep forest of oaks and conifers, inside which there are streams, bridges, waterfalls and the ruins of an old fortress. It is a forest protected from the direct action of man.

Ravensburg is closely connected to the country's major highways, and has a station connected to the main rail network. The closest airports are Friedrichshafen and Memmingen. The main nearby capitals are Stuttgart and Munich, both between 150-200 km away

It seems like I can't stop getting new (to me) trucks, won't I?

This one is special for a signal reason: its arm. While sister truck #1566 is the first truck I have seen, this truck is the first I got to see up close with the Rail-Arm. It was a nice change of pace from the candy-cane arms I am all too familiar with. It was also backed up with a nice exhaust note, not too akin of #1162.
