Stilwell in Progress (sleeves on)
This isn't quite accurate, the sleeves are closer to the length of the body, but it's hard to hold up for photographing right now.
Sheridan (11) is helping me here so I can get an in-progress shot.
I'm just finishing the decreases before the colourwork in the yoke. Both Sheridan and I were startled to see how well the colourwork photographs along the bottom of the sweater! It's far more subtle in real life. Or maybe from far away.
The colour of the CC yarn is the same as the flecks in the MC yarn, which makes for some confusion on a stitch-by-stitch basis, but clearly looks just dandy otherwise!
I'm very excited to be almost finished this sweater. I'm hoping to be able to give it as a gift before Thanksgiving, so it'll only be a Christmas/Birthday gift, instead of a Christmas/Birthday/Christmas gift.
The yarns alone were $120 for this sweater. So not cheaper to knit a sweater for someone, but what a lovely sweater this will be. The yarn is so wonderful to touch. Touch touch touch.
I may have enough yarn left over to make a matching hat, actually. Wouldn't that be lovely?!
