Digger (detail), Tokyo2064
Digger designed & built by Tom Phillipson [ www.tokyo2064.com ].
I prefer this photo to the wide - although the wide gives a better sense of the overall lighting.
Shot this while playing around after a jewellery shoot. There will be other examples that are more interesting photos compositionally, but I quite like the lighting in this.
Strobist Info:
* SB900. Mounted this on a swing arm. Was used as the front fill, bouncing off its own ounce card.
* SB600 under the peg board, angled upwards. Placed top sRight, so got the highlights kicking upwards. I moved it quite a way back as I wanted it about 1-2 stops darker than the backight.
* SB900 with silver umbrella, placed behind top sRight.
* Pegboard was on a glass table, with black perspex on top. Glass is better than perspex (scuff less easy) but heavier and not as cheap.
Triggered by on camera flash on my D70s.
