Trams in Sydney

The Sydney tramway network has served the inner suburbs of Sydney, Australia since 1879 but there was an extended break between 1961 and 2019 when inner city and eastern suburbs lines were reintroduced. In the first half of the 20th century, the network grew to become the largest in Australia and the second largest in the Commonwealth of Nations (after London).
