It is so humbling to realize that we never walk the roads of life alone.
We experience things in our own context and have our own perceptions informed by our particular paths, but we are always stepping in the footfalls of another. We long to see new things and hear new sounds, but someone else’s eyes and ears have witnessed it all before us.
Nothing is new under the sun, and the shoulders we stand on are always a great reminder of this truth.
Don’t disregard the older generations around us as not being privy to the knowledge we acquire just because they see things differently. They may actually know something we don’t.
