AB Weekender Bag Step 5 Complete (Only 8 more to go!!)
I need to say....it was at this point I realized my machine was going to get a workout. After sewing one handle...I stopped...put in the size 16 needle.( I should have done this way earlier.) I then cleaned the machine and gave her some oil before proceeding. Be kind to your machine...she will really be working hard!!
I cut the handle peltex to 7/8 inch. I cut the handle fabric to 4 inches wide instead of 3 inches wide. I made my handles as long as the fabric was wide....so 54 inches. I will be cutting them down to a good size for me once I determine what that is :-) Anyway, my handles ended up exactly 1 inch wide and I wasn't pulling and struggling the whole time to make the edges meet because I had cut my peltex to 7/8 in. so it fit neatly and perfectly :-)
I've been writing all over my pattern as I make little changes so I'll remember for next time.
