Musei Capitolini visit Rome, Italy visit, 19th May 2018.

Relief from a monument constructed in honor of Marcus Aurelius: the triumph of the emperor. This relief depicts a triumphal parade. The emperor wearing a toga and guiding a chariot led by four horses, is on the verge of passing through a triumphal arch. A lictor and a flutist precede him. Behind a small winged Vicrory crowns the victorious emperor.
