I had built these transom stringers ahead of time. It was just too hard to fit them with the boat upside down. Now that gravity is pulling the right way, they installed easily. It is framed out for a flotation box (There will be 3 in the aft section) and battery box.

 

In order to get a solid glue joint we tried weighing the stringers down with a cinder block, but this worked much better. We wrapped a tie down around two 2x3s, and set the 2x3s behind the transom and door frame. Then we CRANKED it down. No need for any fasteners!!!
