EVERYTHING at the lake was closed, which was a hinderance and a

blessing at the same time.

we wanted to jetski and that was the plan.

it was about 92 degrees.

gorgeous weather, which wasn't the case in '04 when we visited.

'04 was a cold summer -- boo.

 

but it was the second weekend after labor day and all the bait shops,

and anywhere to rent a jetski had closed.

heck, the suba center is closed.

 

however -- the lake was abandoned and we had it all to ourselves

(that's the blessing part).

 

again big mac = lake mcconaughy.

in ogallala -- well, to the north a bit.

 

in september.
