If you believe in this sort of thing- washing down this Ganesh statue is said to bring good karma

A relatively uncommon epiphany of the Hindu elephant headed god Ganesh is of him in a standing position. This pot bellied god is usually depicted in a sitting position. And yes, while I share my name Shankar with the other god Shiva you saw earlier, I certainly share the pot belly of Ganesh! This is in the Ganesh Himal museum in Chiang Mai. Locals believe that if you give the statue a bath, then your life will be cleansed too. I am a bit of an agnostic but if you believe in that sort of thing, then whatever rocks your boat! And Ithought that if it is one for the cameras, then why not? (Chiang Mai, north Thailand, Oct. 2018)
