Today, I set out to take some pics of Alice for a Father's Day card for J. (how's that for planning early?) I encountered a few obstacles... 1) Alice refuses to look at the camera, 2) I found my motivation in late morning and the sun was too bright and high in the sky causing all sorts of shadows, 3) Alice wanted nothing to do with the letters she was supposed to hold, and 4) I did absolutely no pre-planning for a nice background. Also, I lost my copy of Illustrator on my home computer, which made designing this that much less fun. Not too bad for powerpoint, though. It was the best thing we have on our home computer and I didn't feel like dragging out my work laptop.
