light and shadow
One of the downfalls of shooting in a woodland pond is the lack of light. It's usually spotty as it filters through the canopy. As the light gets more and more harsh as the day goes on, it can create really deep shadows and very bright highlights. However, you can make some interesting images. Here, as the duck came out of the shadows into the bright light, I had to under expose the image by a lot to save the highlights in the ducks face and by lowering the exposure a bit more in lightroom, it resulted in this image.
