Operation Palmetto Warrior
Prospective South Carolina Army National Guard officer and warrant officer candidates attend briefings during Operation Palmetto Warrior at the 218th Regional Training Institute on McCrady Training Center in Eastover, South Carolina, Jan. 8-9, 2022. Operation Palmetto Warrior was a two-day event being held at MTC for U.S. Army National Guard Soldiers that are interested in becoming officers or warrant officers in the South Carolina Army National Guard. The event consisted of presentations from multiple guest speakers, as well as multiple breakout sessions to provide Soldiers with information on the path to becoming an officer or warrant officer. These paths include Reserve Officer Training Course, Officer Candidate School at the Palmetto Military Academy, Warrant Officer Candidate School, and direct commission.
