Rio Bec B

Not only was this an amazing site, it was an incredible adventure to get here. Balta, through his contacts, found a local man (Samuel) to take us into the jungle around the town of 20 de Noviembre to visit Rio Bec A and Rio Bec B. We borrowed Samuel's brother's quad and then Samuel led us down some pretty rough roads (sometimes just paths) for 16 kilometres while Balta (very ably) drove the quad and I hung for dear life on the back. It was the most fun I'd had in ages!

This image is the ninth in a ten-image series of infrared images of Mayan ruins in Yucatan and Campeche, shot on a trip there in February, 2016. If you want to see more of the images, take a look at my Mexico album or my Infrared album.
