Ibises Romancing the Moon
It was nearing the end of the day and high in the sky was a glorious moon with a lot of birds in groups heading for their favourite roosts. I clicked a couple of shots of the moon and also took shots of the flocks in flight hoping that one group at least would pass directly in front of the moon giving me a memorable shot. Sadly that did not happen. So later while I was processing the shots at home I thought why not try and create the picture that I was hoping to get with the help of a superimposition, especially considering the fact that the waxing moon here would go on to be biggest moon of the year, the supermoon of 2019. I chose a shot of Ibises in flight as they looked better than the similar shots of Cormorants and Ducks that I had captured. The result came out quite well I think.
