The Owner of the bar. Great guy. Since 1970, when I was 12 years old (almost 13) I've traveled Interstate 5 (which runs the length of California, and the entire west coast) past this place about 25 miles (40 km) north of Redding and near a cove on Lake Shasta. Back then I got excited by their very cool neon signage. The joint also has a historic marker. I'd been here at least once, maybe a couple of times before just to photograph the neon signs. But this time I was with my buddy Wildman Bob (AKA The Wildman) on a road trip and we stopped in for a beer.
