lived here (36/365)

In celebration of my impending not-move (in which, for the first time since leaving my parents' house seven years ago, I'm renewing a lease), I'm going to try to revisit as many of the places where I've lived as possible. It's not likely that I'll make it to NYC or the Berkshires, but I'm sure I can do Memphis (only one house, and my parents still live there) and Chicago (three dorms and three apartments before this one).

This is me in front of Burton-Judson Courts (B-J) on 60th Street. B-J, one of the last real Gothic buildings put up on the University of Chicago campus, was designed in 1931 by the firm Zantzinger, Borie and Medarie. The interiors are spare but well-finished, mostly single rooms with large closets and wonderful terrazzo floors. I lived here from February or March until May 2004.
