Story no. 6: Last but certainly not least. With Sunday being National Ice Cream Day what a better way to feature some locally homemade ice cream!! 🍦😋 Several years ago co-owners of Winston’s Grille, Wil O'Neal and Charles Winston went back to school to Penn State University’s Ice Cream 101 (a real class). Homemade ice cream starts with a base which they outsource to local Dairy Farmer Jackson Dairy in Spivey’s Corner, NC. The base (antibiotic and hormone free) is then mixed with special ingredients to make flavors such as: Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Almond Joy, Cookies and Cream, Coffee Toffee and my personal favorite Peanut Butter Cookie Dough. Recently the holiday flavor Peppermint has made the all year round list.
