The “Other” Bridge

This sunrise photo was taken at Vasco da Gama’s Bridge (“Ponte Vasco da Gama”).

It was a rainy morning and sunrise colours were rather subdued but, when editing the images I found out that there were more than enough reasons to share it with you… I must say that while I was there I was slightly unhappy with the light conditions and I hadn’t noticed some of the features seen later on a large display, such as the surreal reflection of the bridge itself, among other things that I leave up to you to review…

Vasco da Gama is the second Tagus River crossing in Lisbon. It was built in the late nineties (1998) and has a huge 13 km extension, linking Lisbon’s eastern area (north bank of the Tagus River) to Alcochete (south bank). It is the second longest bridge in Europe.
