Description

This bench mark was used during the First Primary Levelling, England & Wales. It was included on the Preston to Manchester line as "No. 36. Mark on top of the 2d milestone from Chorley and 9th from Bolton ; 3.30 ft. above surface. (p430)" at 336.345 feet above Liverpool datum.
